ICC Featured Cyclist: Fadzil (BMC)

Since the update on our next cycling journey is next week, we decided to post a feature story on one of our cyclists - the ICC President, Fadzil Abdul Hamid with his brand new bicycle.

His bicycle is a Swiss made BMC Sportelite SE01. The SE01 is a Mountain Bicycle, and it features 3 front chainrings and a 10 sprocket rear cassette for a possible 30 gear ratios.

Fadzil's BMC Bicycle
Shimano Deore shifters and hydraulic brake levers
Bright LED Lighting for a safer night ride
Cateye Rapid 5 for improved rear visibility
Scor seat
Rock Shox XC32 TK fork
Shimano SLX rear derailleur
Continental Race King MTB tyres
SixSixOne Recon helmet
Here is the video recording of the interview session with Fadzil earlier, sharing his experience in cycling. The story of him witnessing his friend crashing behind a taxi, subsequently plunging into the backseat of the taxi is really one of a kind. I mean, who has that kind of experience right?

Iskandar Malaysia has started encouraging its friends and citizens to consider utilising bicycles as a cleaner, greener, and healthier way of getting around the city and residential areas.

We should start asking ourselves, "Why not?". At least, we can help contribute in helping the environment to be more sustainable, and making the world a better place to live. Though it may seem nothing much, a small personal contribution, will definitely make a big difference when start doing it collectively. Additionally, it will also benefit your life by adapting your lifestyle into a healthier one.

The government's support also plays a vital role for the change. Hence, this is why IRDA is initiating its first step towards that, in line with our constantly hailed office slogan - Work Life Balance.

There will be more featured stories about our club members and their bicycles, so please continue to visit our humble blog.
